    Dear Hema,
You wrote, “Humble myself before God” in humility and gratitude and pleading for His mercy is a prayer that God longs to hear. We all need to do that too.

Dear Adam, we all struggle to be holy here on earth. Recently I was encouraged in these verses. 2 Peter1:3-4 “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness … so that we … may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” Thank God for His provisions to help us participate in the divine nature.

How will you prepare yourself to receive Jesus when He returns?
Each day live in such a way that I choose to please my Lord Jesus in all aspects of my life and be a blessing to others who comes my way. To remember in prayer those who do not know the Lord and be willing to share the gospel when the opportunity arises. Also to be conscious of my sins and seek His forgiveness daily.

How will you prepare others to meet Jesus at the second coming of Jesus?
To influence young people as well as new believers in their walk with God in all areas of life so as to be able to disciple and encourage them. Able to teach and challenge them in their study of God’s word. To serve in the Sunday school and find ways to get to know their parents and prepare them for the Lord’s coming.

    Dear Arul,
As you said, “We need to set our minds and hearts on heavenly things.” This is true, but because we are in this world, we have to be aware of what entangles us in this world. In 1 John 2:16 says “For everything in this world – the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does- come not from the Father but from the world.” As humans, we are so prone to sin, thank God we have the Holy Spirit to help us.

Dear Hema, I agreed with you that our lives should bear fruits, as believers and the Church, our faith will be tested, as the devil is always ready to find ways to lead us astray. We all need to encourage and challenge one another in our walk with God.

Since the kingdom of God is already in operation, what should be our attitude towards ourselves as believers and the church?
Since Jesus has overcome evil and we have the power of the Holy Spirit within us, we need to be strong in our faith as our faith will be tested. We need to keep growing spiritually as we will face suffering and we must be willing to go through it for God’s glory. Our attitude should be of worship to the King of kings in all our daily life. Also, we need to live in the light of eternity, a heavenly kingdom yet to come. Still many have not yet known Christ, we have a part to play, together with the church.

What must be done to see God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven?
God’s kingdom has already begun on earth, we as believers have the Holy Spirit within us to help us understand God’s will, through his word. As we read his word and understands what is God’s will, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through us to accomplish his purpose on earth as it is in heaven. Learn to seek his will in all our decision-making processes so as to please him and accomplish his will and purpose in our lives.

Dear Arul Sam Dilip, Whichever way we interpret the word of God, thank God, we have the Holy Spirit to help us understand it and He will reveal its truths to us in his time.

Dear Lavanya, yes, it is interesting to read about both the literal and spiritual interpretations yet there are certain areas that still need deeper understanding like binding of satan. We have the Holy Spirit to help us as we continue to put our trust in God and his word.

How do you see the literal and symbolic interpretations of the passage Rev 20:1-10 in the light of this lesson?
The book of Revelation is apocalyptic in genre and as humans, we have a limited understanding of future events. It is not easy to grasp the full meaning of the passage. Both the literal and symbolic interpretations of these passages are based on the word of God. The disciples could not understand what Jesus said about his death and it was only later that they understood. In Luke 9:44 ‘… the son of man is going to be betrayed …. but they did not understand what this meant. It was hidden from them.’ We may not fully understand the passage but in his time we will come to know, if we remain faithful.

How should the church engage itself with the world now, in the light of the literal interpretation of Rev 20:1-10? The Church should help the believers be aware of world events and prepare them for what is to come. Be prepare for trials and sufferings in this world but also assures them that there is a reward awaiting them.

How should the church engage itself with the world now, in the light of the symbolic interpretations of Rev 20:1-10? Satan is trying his best to deceive believers in all ways, they need to be on guard and know that the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives, has overcome the evil one, through Christ first coming.

Dear Adam Samuel, You have a nice way not to be judgemental and yet respecting each view as you mentioned that all believers. We all have to do our part and be responsible to go deeper into God’s word and be ready for his second coming.

Dear Hema, Indeed you have well listed your objections to the various millennial views. As you mentioned, yes we all have the word of God to help us through the Holy Spirit to understand his word and not be confused by others. We have to do our part to study God’s word diligently.

Please share your personal preference among the millennial views and offer the reasons for your preference.
My preference is more incline to the premillennial dispensational view, rapture happens before the tribulation. Rev 3:10 Believers will be kept from the hour of trial. Israel is central to God’s plan, but also believes that the role of the Church is important in God’s plan.

In the light of a detailed study of the millennial views in the previous lessons, how do you see the controversy now?
It is good to know the various views and even after a detailed study, it is still confusing. We know that Christ will return and that’s the main point. One has to be ready, waiting for his return at all times.

Dear Hema, Amillennium believes in the spiritual millennial reign of Christ, which begins at his first coming. This begins in our life when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour in our hearts. It’s just that we fail so often to reflect his Lordship in our lives and Satan seem to have the upper hand. But ultimately he will be the loser when Christ return.

Dear Suryakumar, I too find it difficult to accept the Amillennium view. May God’s Spirit reveal to them through his word. Thank God we only need to focus on the essentials. The role of the church is to teach the word till the Lord’s return. It’s the power of God to bring transformation till we all meet the Lord.
