Dear brother Peter
Than you for your thoughts.
You have rightly pointed out that in Ezekiel 33 God says that as watchmen we have a duty to warn people.
That is the most important activity for us as long as we live.
If we do not do that, we will be judged too!!
Thank you
HephzibahDear Hema
You have rightly pointed out the problems in our churches today.
As you have mentioned the Church should take evangelism as a vital task of its own. Instead many churches spend more time, money and energy in celebrations, festivals, raising funds, honouring celebrities and so on. But the prime work of evangelism and outreach of the last souls are given less priority. Churches should realize that much has been entrusted to it and much more will be demanded from it. I hope the churches truly change at least after this pandemic attack.
Thank you for your thoughts.
HephzibahDear brother Divyathiru,
You have rightly pointed out that the apostles encourage us to be ready always to share the hope with gentleness and reverence. Taking conscious efforts to follow these examples is our mandate and that way we will be effective witnessess personally and as church too.
Thank you.
HephzibahDear Hema,
Thank you for your comments.
Yes, we have to preach the Saviour to all asap!!!!
Thank you.
HephzibahDear brother Ajit,
You have rightly pointed out that the unregenerate end up in Hell and that God’s heart is not to lose any of them. We should also have the same attitude and share the gospel to others, so that in him they will have eternal life. Thank you for bringing this point to focus. What pains the heart of God should pain us. Only when we have such a relationship with our Saviour, we will be motivated into action!
Thank you.
HephzibahDear brother Pravinraj,
Yes, as we learnt in Lesson-1 where we are called to be God’s ” vassals”, we are to be “imitators of Christ” in every way showing forth God’s character including love, hope and Joy. As you have pointed out Jesus also highlighted our responsibility to be salt and light in this world. What a challenge!!
Thank you
HephzibahDear brother Ajit,
Thank you for your comments.
Yes, I cannot agree with you more!
This should motivate and propel us to share the good news
to the people around!
Thank you
HephzibahDear Rev Lola
Yes, being a child of God gives us confidence to tell of the wonders of God who created all things because the creation speaks of His power to all. May God open the hearts of our listeners as we give the Gospel.
Thank you.
Hephzibah.Paul says that for the unbelievers, the law is written in their hearts which is their conscience and that they will be judged according to their Conscience on the last day. Those who are under the law, they will be judged according to the law. No one can escape God’s judgment by claiming ignorance of His written Word or His revelation through the conscience. Since ‘ALL’ have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, everyone needs a Saviour!
By obeying the written law or the law written in the conscience, no one can be justified and face the final judgement. We are saved by grace and are justified only by the blood of Jesus. Only through the finished work of Jesus on the Cross, we can face the judgement. This knowledge, gives ‘urgency’ in ‘evangelism’. That is the reason we have to urgently communicate the power of the blood of Jesus in saving us from the effects of the final judgment. It is now my responsibility to communicate this fact to the people around. If I do not communicate it, I will be counted responsible for those lost souls on the day of judgement. That is truly a fearful thought!
Dear brother Pravinraj
You have rightly pointed out that as a child of Christ through the daily struggle and trials we are purified by the work of Holy Spirit. But for the unregenerate, repentance and return to Christ is of great importance during this period of grace. So while the church looks forward to His return, it must be actively involved in presenting Christ.
Thank you for your thoughts
HephzibahDear Sister May Salami
You have rightly pointed out that the knowledge that the Lord will return to take His own encourages us to remain true and faithful to our Master. This anticipation helps us to serve Him and the Church with passion and devotion knowing that our labour is not in vain.
Thank you for the reminder.
Thank you
HephzibahDear Brother Dhivyarthiru
You have mentioned that God is placing the burden for people in your heart which motivates you to prayerfully take steps to reach out and share your experiences with Christ. You have said that this attitude is the result of Christian growth. This is indeed the call of God to every believer. As we mature as believers we have to become the salt and light so that they may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven.
A believer’s mandate has been veru beautifully captures. All glory to God.
Thank you
HephzibahYes indeed, Hema.
Thank you
HephzibahDear brother Devadoss
You have rightly pointed out that as a body of believers we must make a conscious commitment to developing excellence of character for Christ. Our challenge today is saying “yes” to character excellence and “no” to cosmetic effectiveness. Then we as the church will be able to meet the challenges of a secular society as salt and light.
The mandate of the church has been very beautifully captured.
Thank you
HephzibahDear brother Arul Sam
You have pointed out that We have to be prepared like the five prudent virgins and it is absolutely right. When we decide to live like that, we do not have to discern the seasons and interpret the signs to when the Lord will come. The Bible says the Lord will come like a thief. We have to be ready every day since we do not know when our last day on the earth is going to be.
Thank you
