    Dear brother Mikey,

You have rightly pointed out that we have to be sensitive to the leading / correction of the Holy Spirit against the flesh.
The indwelling Holy Spirit warns us when we fall into sin and gives us an opportunity to be morally upright. If we ignore the prompting of the Holy Spirit in our lives, then we will be swallowed by the devil.
So obedience to the Spirit is very important in a believer’s life. Then other can see the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.

    Thank you for your thoughts

    Dear brother Arul Sam,
You have rightly quoted Paul’s words to the Ephesians Eph 5:15-16, ‘Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.’ That is how the Church or the believing community is called to live. Our wisdom comes from God. He will help us to live wisely if we ask Him. That is the confidence we have.
    Thank you

Thank you Hema for your observation.
The knowledge that we are so special for Him that He gave His life to restore the joy of salvation for us
motivates us to a life of moral purity and fruit of the Spirit.

    Yes sister Divya
The Bible says in Rom 8:37 that, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
We live for Him only through His strength and the power of the Holy Spirit that has been freely given to us.
    Thank you

    Dear Ajit

You are right when you say that all the sins of the old life have been taken away and all things have been made new for us. You have said that this knowledge makes you to want to live a life pleasing to the Lord. I cannot agree with you more. God has given us a clean slate and has given us the moral ability not to sin. He has also filled us with the Holy Spirit who enables us to be overcomers so that our lives will be pleaseing to God.

    Dear Hema

I completely agree with you when you say it is our responsibility as individual and as church to think about the unregenerate. That must be the the main focus of the church. We must encourage all believers to live overcoming lives. No believer can say, “Oh, I am not able to stop that bad habit ot this sin”. The Holy Spirit within us gives us the ability to live morally upright lives. Yes the Holy Spirit and the power He gives helps us to live a life pleasing to God, no matter how much struggle we have. Every believer is called upon to spread the Gospel to the rest of the world.
Thank you for a challenging thought.

    Dear brother Lola
You say that we will know whether anyone has the true eternal life or a believer only by the fruits in their life . I agree with you one hundred percent. Anyone can claim to have eternal life but if their life is not in the right path they are not believers. Thank you for pointing out that the ministry of reconciliation is important.

    Sister Divya

Yes, knowing Christ is eternal life here and now. And this is manifested but the outworking of the Spirit through our life on earth. You have rightly pointed out that by praying for the salvation of others and meeting the needs of others as individuals, families and church is how the eternal life we enjoy in Christ is shown to the world around.
    Thank you

    Dear sister Radha
You have rightly pointed out that that we grow stronger with more problems. It is very true in my life. But I do not know how I would have handled it if I had not been a believer or a regenerated person at that time. I have now understood that the eternal life and its benefits start operating as soon as we become a believer. That way, christian growth is also a realization of that eternal life besides the forgiveness and peace that we enjoy.
    Blessings

I have always thought of eternal life as something we gain after we die. But now I have understood that it begins when we are born again and can be enjoyed in our present life itself. Because Christ took our place on the cross, things like forgiveness, reconciliation with God and moral ability to obey God’s law can be enjoyed even now.

Even though we continue to struggle with sin, we can do good works because of the Spirit’s influence. God helps us to do ‘good works’ through the Holy Spirit because in the last judgment we will be rewarded ‘according to our works.’ This knowledge helps me and motivates me to live in obedience to the Word now.

How we live here on earth is important to God and He will hold us accountable. Christ calls us to imitate Him, love Him, love each other, and obey His Word. When we do this, He promises to reward us greatly. This knowledge has to encourage the believers to live for God every day.

    Dear Brother Richard
Thank you for your response. We have to teach and equip our church members. Yes, Present day church-goers need ‘sound doctrine’ which is conspicuously absent in today’s pulpits. That I guess is our mandate.

    Dear brother Richard,
Greetings. I appreciate your point that the Church is the bride and that no groom will accept any impurity in a bride. We are made righteous by the supreme sacrifice of our Lord Jesus. So I agree with you when you say our continued sanctification is very important. May we all strive to be holy with the power of the Holy Spirit.
    Thank you

    Dear brother Raj Kumar
Yes Jesus has said I will come again soon and so be ready to the Church, the body of believers. You have rightly pointed out that the Lord chose Paul for this very purpose. The same commission has been given to all of us too. Yes when he comes in his glory he will judge everyone. As you have pointed out that thought should motivate each and everyone of us to do His will with utmost care. Since He can can come at any time, we have to do this with urgency.
    Thank you
    Hephzibah
