Bro Lawrence
Thanks for pointing out the issue of the economic divide between the rich and the poor in our modern day churches. Based on biblical principles drawn from scriptures, what practical strategies can you suggest to alleviate that economic divide and to promote generosity in the church? In other words, how can we better reflect the early new testament church in the way they emulated generosity and removed the economic divide between themselves.regards
JulianDear Bro Lawrence
Do you feel the church in India specifically is lacking a biblical theology of suffering ? What do you think is a proper, scripturally faithful, theology of suffering and how can then be inculcated in our churches todayHi Bro Suresh
Thanks for your post. Glad you could mention some aspects the false teaching of Prosperity Gospel which is surely a distraction from the True Gospel that we have in and through Christ and the Scriptures that we’ve been given. Lets continue to pray for Gospel focused, healthy churches and pastors/elders who can stay rooted in God’s word and preach the Word faithfully and with courage and without any compromiseregards
JulianHi Sis Jeneita
You are right that our churches are plagued with the issues of hypergrace and taking God for granted and continuing to live a lifestyle of sin and promiscuity. One should remember that God is gracious and merciful and quick to forgive if we genuinely repent. However, he is also the righteous Judge and wont tolerate sin, unrepentance and rebellion against him. So lets endeavor to teach and grow our younger generation that they need to have a reverent fear of God and conduct themselves in a manner that is pleasing to Him. We ought to remain in the world but not become like it in terms of our values, morals, faith and ethics. We need to strive to remain pure, holy, blameless so that we can remain a good witness to the world as well as please our Father’s heart. Appreciate your thoughts and insights.regards
